LATEST NEWS!

2011

Our latest news is our pony rides held at the Pyramid Race last Saturday.
A big thanks must go our dedicated regular helpers who put in and helped out on the day. The club will put the money towards improving our grounds.

Thanks to Michelle from The Feed Shop for providing a bale of hay and thanks also to our ponies for being such willing helpers on the day.

Thanks to a huge effort from all our helpers at our gymkhana. We had 68 riders and a very successful and fun day.
Congratulations to our littlest group and our future riders who had a great day.
They are Eden, Ashleigh, Emily and Ellex. Well done and go girls !!!!

We'd like to congratulate the winners of our trophies from last year, as you know due to horrible weather and a bit of bad timing we were not able to have our break up last year. The winners are listed below and I hope you'll join me in giving them a round of applause.

MOST IMPROVED RIDER - This one was really hard to decide because all of our riders have done well but we had two little ones who have both had an amazing improvement in their riding and confidence. We decided to give it to Ashleigh (1) Fahlstrom and Ashlee ( 2) Fitzpatrick -
Congratulation girls, looking forward to seeing you both cantering this year.

The "Jill McKenzie" HORSEMANSHIP Trophy - This was given to Cassie Ahlers for her Outstanding Horsemanship displayed last year. Well done Cassie.

CLUB AMBASSADOR - This is awarded to the rider who goes out and represents our club at gymkhanas and any thing to do with the pony club.
It was awarded to Emma vanderBrug, well done Emma.

We had two ENCOURAGEMENT awards last year one is awarded to junior rider Luke Sefton and for the first time ever
we decided to give a Senior award which went to Angie Whitehead. Well done Luke and Angie

We also have "Participant" trophies for our junior riders
- Ashlee, Ashleigh, Kiarni & Eden
~~~
January kicked off with a hastily arranged sausage sizzle at Bunnings
Thanks so much to our willing volunteers who helped out on Sunday.
We managed to make just over $900.00 which was an awesome effort
Thanks again girls
We'd also like to thank Kisten Foulstrom for bringing a couple of her guys and a truck down to the grounds
to cut up the trees that had fallen over our sand arena fence and take the wood away. Much appreciated, thanks again Kisten.
We have council coming to our grounds tomorrow to access the damage.
